This was an elective unit I choose to do during my first semester, first year at Swinburne University of technology. We were tasked to conceptualize and realize an original character before using it in a 20 second 2D animation loop.
As I've used Flash in the past before mainly to do simple traditional frame-by-frame animations, I naturally revisited that technique with some new input and tricks such as motion tweening and the use of alpha channels.
The end-product of the unit not only was the final animation loop but also a character style guide that detailed our conceptualization process as well as design decisions.
